Welcome to Time2Dream

By Paula Vi

I am a proud Kunja woman born on Kombumerri Country. My art journey began when I was twelve years old, and creativity has been at the heart of my life ever since. As a young girl I taught myself to sew and design clothing, a passion that grew into a 36-year career as a fashion designer and seamstress. From my home studio, I built a successful business while raising my five beautiful children.

A few years ago, when my health shifted and I became a full-time wheelchair user, a new path opened. I began my Bachelor of Art at Griffith University. The Contemporary Australian Indigenous Art program has been transformative—its community, guidance, and cultural grounding have strengthened my connection to my heritage and inspired my practice.

Every artwork I create holds a story of Country, ancestors, and community. My jewellery and handbag collections are made with care, using mostly recycled and reusable materials. With my background in design, each piece carries its own unique character. Whether on canvas or crafted into wearable art, my work shares stories from my dreaming, my life experiences, and my culture.

I hope you feel the journeys and stories woven through each collection.

Thank you for your support.
